Studying abroad comes with a lot of planning and Dubai maintains itself a supportive place to your aspirations. One has to get a consent from the university about working while studying, and that’s it. Dubai permits part-time 20 hours of working in a week for it’s international student community in the free zone areas.

In the span of the last two decades, Dubai has emerged as a land of opportunities. Dubai continues to evolve and expand itself in terms of technology, infrastructure and that has created a huge demand for people from different backgrounds there. If you possess a determination and right approach towards working, you shall find the best for you that empowers your life standards there. Students are even offered internship programs while studying. However, to work in Dubai, your age should be 18 or more. Dubai doesn’t allow you to work on student visa, however an offer letter from an internship program will give you that flexibility.

Student visa in the UAE can be secured either by residents sponsoring their children or by one of the accredited universities/colleges in the UAE. Visa applications are processed through visa authorities represented by the relevant General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in each emirate. In order to secure a freshman student visa, the applicant must obtain an official admission letter from the university he is studying at. For older students, a certificate of continuation of study is needed.

Copy of offer of admission letter (only for new students) A visa sponsor, either the university itself or a parent and the relevant General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Clear colour Passport copy (with at least 6 months’ validity) 2 passport size photos (white background) Receipt for tuition fees and visa fees Passing medical fitness test Copy of current visa (if you are inside UAE)
